Grant Proposal Guidelines

Isabel and C.S. Harding Mott loved the healing power and teachings of the Christian Science Church.

A t least 75 percent of the Foundation’s annual grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations related to the faith of Christian Science, including camps, churches, schools, Christian Science nursing facilities, collaboratives, the Christian Science Monitor, and other initiatives with shared Christian Science values.

Below you can learn more about our grantmaking priorities and see if your organization should consider applying for a grant.

  • Guidelines for new organizations considering first-time grant proposals. If your nonprofit organization is located in the United States, registered as a 501c(3) with the IRS, and supports the healing ministry of Christian Science, then your group may be considered for a grant from the Isabel Foundation. Although the Isabel Foundation greatly appreciates the work of Christian Science branch churches and wishes we could fund their projects, we are not able to fund Christian Science branch churches at this time. Please watch the online training videos before using the site.
  • All returning and prior grantee organizations MUST click here to be directed to the Isabel Foundation’s Foundant application site. In most cases, for current grantees, your historical data will already be online and you will be able to review it.
  • If you have a multi-year grant in progress, log onto your account and save the link to your browser. Your organization will need to complete your Progress Report by December 15 of each year and request the pledges in the appropriate years. If you need assistance or training, please contact us.
  • If you are a returning grantee organization making a new grant request, you must complete the online application by February 1.
